Coach Darren Wright reported, “I’m very proud of the boys for going 4-0 in their first tournament ever.  They worked hard and played well only giving up 4 goals.  I would love to be able to take some of the credit for the victory, but after only 2 weeks of practice all of the credit has to go the boys, their parents, and the Jr. Cutters soccer program which did a great job of preparing the boys for their first taste of competitive club soccer.  I’m excited about the rest of the season and looking forward to watching the boys develop and continue to grow together as a team.”

94 Boys Red Veterans' Cup Finalist

Congrats to Cutters Boys 94′ Red (U17) who traveled to Evansville, IN host of the Veterans Invitational.  The team advanced to the Championship game after three wins in group play over Sporting Indiana FC, South Central Soccer Academy, and Columbus Express.  The final match was back and forth with formidable opponent IPSC and after 100 minutes (regulation + 2OT) came down to penalty kicks which ended in favor of IPSC.
Coach Gallagher commented on his teams overall performance by saying, “I was pleased with our organization defensively and believe the boys were confident/dangerous in the attack.  Each player contributed significant minutes which led to our stingy defense; yielding only one goal in four games.”

93 Red President's Cup Regional Champs!

The 93 Cutters Red won the regional President’s Cup in Wisconsin on June 18-20.  The team has now qualified to attend the National Championships with other Region II age group winners in Tennessee, July 8th.

From IYSA website….

“We are proud of these teams and their success as they have progressed through the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup from the state to regional, and now onto the national level,” said Larry Monaco, president of US Youth Soccer. “Each level of the Presidents Cup highlights competition, camaraderie and community through the great sport of soccer and we look forward to crowning the National Presidents Cup champions in Murfreesboro.”

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title.  The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.

Cutters 94 Red (U16) SWISA Soccer Classic Champs

Congratulations to the Cutters 94 Boys Red team for winning the SWISA Soccer Classic on May 7-9.  Coach Paul Kerridge reported,  “We really found our goal scoring boots…in the first game we scored a good number of goals and then it just kept going, that was key to the success. The other great attribute we had was that we seemed really fit.  As other teams were tiring we were still fresh, this resulted in us scoring late in every game, most importantly the game winner in the final with less than ten minutes to play.”

92 Girls (U18) Finalists at Jr Irish Invitational

Congrats to the 92 Girls for advancing to the finals of the Jr Irish Memorial Day Invitational.  The team advanced to the final on tie breaker points after  going to 1-1-1 in the round robin.  Coach Paul Kerridge was very pleased to see measurable progress after the girls defeated regular season league foe, Jr Irish NIFA in the round robin.  “The Jr Irish really took it to us during league play early in the season.” said Coach Kerridge.  “Our girls showed great improvement in the rematch and didn’t allow the previous game to be a psychological barrier.  It was a nice display of  their character as players to bounce back with a victory.”
