U-6s – we’re still looking forward to our first practice session, hopefully on April 23! For the practice portion of our morning, we will split the teams into three groups (one group of six and two groups of four teams). An age group trainer will run the activities with the coaches working to keep the players engaged in each one (see practice plan below for details).  By working together, we will be able to help the children improve their coordination, agility and soccer skills while having fun!

This week our practices will focus on passing and receiving. Please consult the following practice plans before practice on Monday, April 25:

Monday night practice sessions: Please use the scrimmage time at the end of practice to work on restarts (kick-ins, throw-ins, goal kicks and/or corner kicks, depending on what is appropriate for your age group).  Also, ask the trainers and age group coordinators if you have any questions about strategy or game management. Keep players active and when playing small-sided games, avoid using substitutes (even if you have an odd number of players).
