PROGRAM: Community Soccer (formerly Cutters Academy) is a non-travel recreational soccer program for boys and girls ages 5 through high school. (Children must turn 6 years old by July 31, 2012 to be eligible.) The program is designed to teach age-appropriate technical and tactical skills in a fun environment that will foster lifelong appreciation and enjoyment playing the game of soccer.
LOCATION: All practices and games are held at Karst Farm Park.
AGE GROUPS: There are six age groups: U6 (August 1, 2005 – July 31, 2006), U8 (August 1, 2003 – July 31, 2005), U10 (August 1, 2001 – July 31, 2003), U12 (August 1, 1999 – July 31, 2001), U14 (August 1, 1997 – July 31, 1999), and U18 (August 1, 1993 – July 31, 1997).
SEASON: The season begins on Saturday, March 31 (U6 only) or Monday, April 2 (all other age groups) and ends on Saturday, June 2 (all age groups). (Note: Games are normally held on Saturday mornings. The only exception is Friday, April 13 instead of Saturday, April 14.)
TIMES: Participants in the U6 age group practice on Saturday mornings at 9:30 am and play games immediately following practice at 10 am. Participants in the U8, U10, U12, or U14 age group practice on Monday evenings (6 pm for the U8s and U10s; 7:15 pm for the U12s and U14s) and play games on Saturday mornings (9:30 am for the U8s and U10s; 10:45 am for the U12s and U14s). Participants in the U18 age group play games on Monday evenings at 6 pm and Saturday mornings at 9:30 am.
INSTRUCTION: Volunteer coaches and Club trainers work with the players during practices. The volunteer coaches lead their respective teams during games.
COST: The registration fee is $95 ($75 for U6s) through February 24, $105 ($80 for U6s) through March 16, and $125 ($85 for U6s) after March 16.
PAYMENT: Online registration requires payment with a credit card or e-check. If you prefer to pay with cash or paper check, please e-mail David Weigand at communitysoccer@cutterssoccer.org to arrange a time to register and pay at the Club office.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Parents wishing to apply for a scholarship for their child(ren) should apply by using the scholarship link. Submission of a scholarship application requires a down payment of 10% of the Early-Bird registration fee.
