Spring ’17 Cutters Community Coaches Soccer Information

We are excited for the Spring 2017 season. Below are some of the initiatives that we are incorporating this season.

Coaches Initiatives 2017:

  • Providing each coach with a ‘coaches packet’. This packet will include, but not limited to: the rules, a substitution sheet, basic soccer practice plans, a clipboard, concussion protocol, etc.

  • There will be a Community Soccer Coaches Clinic for all coaches. This will be different than it has been in years past. The two coaches clinics will take place on March 27th (U6/U8) and March 28th (U10 and Up) from 7-8:30pm at BUGS. There will be a short welcome from 7-7:15pm with the rest of the clinic being ‘on-field’ for skill building and running a practice. Please save those dates as you will be receiving your coaches packet that day.

  • We want to send a ‘thank you’ for being a part of the program. If you coach this season (Spring 2017), and volunteer again to coach in the fall, the club is offering a 25% discount off of registration for the Fall 2017 season. We appreciate your service and time.

  • Lastly, United States Soccer Federation (USSF) offers the “F” license online. The course takes about three hours and will provide you with a lot of great information about coaching soccer. The cost is $25. The club will reimburse the $25 after you take the course. We highly encourage each coach to take the course. Here is the link for more information:

Additionally, we are looking for new coaches to be a part of the program and join our community of coaches. Encourage new coaches to join our coaches community. Also, for any coach who has had success with encouraging players, activities, strategies, contacting parents, etc. that they think would be a great tool for all coaches, please let me know. I would like to add ‘testimonials’ or cheat sheets to the coaches packet. As an educator, there are always ways that others can enhance our coaching and learning. This will only improve our coaching community!
